Software Develepment
Development Cycle
It is a known fact that there are two main drawbacks for ready-made software packages, or on-the-shelf applications. Organizations usually pay extra money for software features that are not critical to their business operations, while end users can hardly find all the features they dream of in the applications purchased. With these two drawbacks in mind, Promastar has maintained a powerful team of experienced developers who main focus is provide our customers with a customized solution that best suits the customer’s specific needs and requirements. Our development cycle has six phases as follows:
Analysis Phase
In this phase our professional team will have an extensive interviews with your staff (all those who are considered as key personnel to the system development). All materials related to the proposed system will be reviewed, studied and analyzed. We put valuable guide called the Technical Documentation. It is the life of your system and it is the missing part in any off-the-shelf software. The technical documentation includes diagrams, describing how the work moves inside your organization, what all the data you will need to keep, what are the manipulation needed and what are the output you want to have. For technical personnel, this means DFD, DD, and ERD. The analysis report has to pass a detailed check and revised by you, and your company’s staff, and can be modified to your most convenience. Once it is approved we can move to the next phase.
Design Phase
We will work closely with your staff to establish the easiest GUI to work with. We will put our Screen Design and Report Design on another report and give you the time to make it the way you want. Your modifications will be considered and integrated into the new system. We assure you that our database back end will be the best of all what we offer.
Implementation Phase
There are many ways to cut over to the new system. Therefore, it will be important to identify which way for your company. -Pilot: a trial implementation of the subset of the overall operation (an office). -Immediate: cut over the old system to the new system at once. -Phases: the new system is in place, one part at a time. -Parallel: maintain the old system and implement the new one. As for which one should be used, it will depend on your system, your work, your needs and most importantly, what would make the best approach.
Testing
Testing and correcting is vital for any system. This will enable us to remove errors and problems from your new system, and provide you and your company with a fully functional and error free system.
Training
We will give your staff the required training to get the best out of your system. This will enable your staff to successfully manage your company’s new system, which will offer you the level of control needed for an efficient and flexible management.
Operation & Maintenance
We will always be there to maintain your system, add new features to it and upgrade it, make it much more productive and increase your ROI from it.
